## Design analysis

This shows the desktop version of DeepSeek for the week of 2026-10-12, before scrolling. The message box sits in the middle of a mostly empty dark screen. It is the largest item on the screen. Above it, a greeting in Chinese welcomes you back and asks where you would like to start. The greeting is bright enough against the background to meet a common accessibility guideline. The hint text inside the message box is lighter than a common accessibility guideline recommends. Two buttons below the hint text offer deep thinking and smart search. There is no note that it can make mistakes. The greeting text differs from the week of 2026-10-05.

## Menu items

- Top bar: an icon button (split-rectangle icon), an icon button (magnifier icon), an icon button (bubble-plus icon)
- Input area: Deep Think, Smart Search
- The sidebar is collapsed in this capture, so its items are not listed.

## Menu changes

No menu changes compared with the week of October 5, 2026.
