## Design analysis

This shows the desktop version of Perplexity for the week of 2026-10-12, before scrolling. A sidebar on the left takes up about a fifth of the screen width. The message box stands out most on the screen. The outline of the message box is hard to see against the dark background. The heading above it asks, "What do you want to know?" Below the message box, a card titled Set up Computer appears. The hint text inside the message box is lighter than a common accessibility guideline recommends. There is no note saying it can make mistakes. The sidebar section Sessions is now labeled Recents. The card below the message box differs from the week of 2026-10-05.
